IRIS is a media canvas with a matrix of conventional information display technology. It is a monochrome LCD and it uses black liquid crystals in the phased openings and closings in a circular shape. Iris can create various patterns and control the about of passing light. It is a fun and interactive medium with no emission of light itself. I found this video very interesting because it was something different and interesting to see the two uses of technology being put together. IRIS is supported by the Da Vinci Idea Program and it currently resides in Seoul, Korea.
